Coach Josh Jaskowiak has been a member of the Penn State Baseball Club for five years. Jaskowiak originally joined the coaching staff in the fall of 2011 as an assistant coach. In his playing days, Jaskowiak was a catcher, but the good Lord will tell you that his knees have taken too much of a beating over the years to continue as a reliable backstop. So, he found his niche in coaching and acted as the the team's assistant coach for three years. Jaskowiak was promoted to head coach following the 2013-2014 season.
In his first year as head coach, Jaskowiak managed the Nittany Lions to a 23-6 record, including wins against a #2 ranked Division 1 Pittsburgh team and Division 1 James Madison University. This marked the first time that the PSBC D2 has defeated a Division 1 opponent in a non-exhibition game. Also in his rookie season as the head skipper, Jaskowiak managed his team to the National Championship game, in a game where the PSBC D2 fell to Eastern Kentucky. Entering the spring of 2016, Jaskowiak holds a 29-6 (.829 win percentage) record as head coach.
In his free time, Josh Jaskowiak enjoys analyzing structures; watching the miserable, miserable Philadephia Phillies; and finding empowerment from the heart-stopping, house-rocking, earth-quaking, le-gen-dary Bruce Springsteen and the E- Street-Band. He has also taken part in helping with the redesign and renovation of the the Penn State Baseball Club's secondary home field, Governor's Park. For his fifth and final season, Jaskowiak looks to bring his team back to Pittsburg, KS for one last run at a national championship.
